His background of 12 years power lifting helped him build a strong base for his bodybuilding career. To say this guy is strong is an understatement! He was the British power lifting champion in the 82 Kilo class. At a bodyweight of only 13 stone, Pat managed some amazing lifts: 250 Kg / 550 lbs Dead lift, 200 Kg / 440 lbs Squat, 125 Kg / 275 lbs Benchpress!! He now regularly toys with 180 lb dumbbells when training chest, as they are the biggest dumbbells that his gym has to offer!! This is an excellent video, Pat takes you through the steps of all his favourite exercises as he performs them. If you would like more information about Pat's training video - The Burn, then send an email to us. Pat is available for guest posing, seminars, and photo shoots. Choosing A Gym - A Fun Quiz To Help You Out! |
|
When it comes to choosing a gym, how do you know where to begin? There are so many factors that play into it. Do you want a gym that is close to your work, so you can get a workout in before you hit the office?
Would you rather there be one close to home? Distance is a huge factor. How far are you willing to drive? Do you want an all unisex or all men's or woman's gym? Do you prefer a small select group that is tiny and intimate, or a huge chain that has tons of energy and people?
First you have to figure out what type of gym is right for me? Once you answer this, make sure that the gym you choose is convenient enough to where you live or work. No matter how much you love your gym, if it is a huge pain to get there every day, you won't be going as often as you should. Keep that in mind when making your decision.
The easiest way I found to choose a gym that was right for me was asking myself questions. The answers usually help you figure out quite easily where it is that you should really be training.
Here are is a quiz that will help you answer your own question.
Quiz:
Choose only one answer to each question.
Question #1 When choosing a gym, the most Important thing to me is:
A variety of classes and equipment. The more, the better. Personalized attention. I have no idea where to start. I want someone to tell me. Are there going to be lots of other men or women there? I hate a gym where I am the only guy/girl in a room full of the opposite. A great steam room. Is there anything else more important? Distance. How far away did you say it was?
Question #2 I like a gym that has:
Really flexible hours. Do you have any idea how crazy my schedule is? Great trainers. I find training a lot easier when someone else does the thinking, and I follow the routines. Not too many, or any, people of the opposite sex. Don't I have to worry what I look like enough time during the day already? Trendy classes. How am I supposed to be with it if my gym isn't? The same people that I know all the time. The fewer surprises, the better.
Question #3 When choosing a gym, the least important thing is:
Not that many people. I like having somewhat of a crowd, or people to watch. A huge facility. The more intimate the better for me. A variety of people to choose from for a date on Saturday night. The gym is about training, not picking up a date. Price. You get what you pay for right? Variety. Who cares? As long as it is convenient, I am so there.
Question #4 If you could only choose one thing a gym must have it would be:
A great energy, along with several different locations. Personal trainers. I can't imagine training any other way. A non-judgmental, very laid back environment. I would only feel comfortable that way. A very capable and accommodating staff. I like to feel like my wish is their command. Or at least that if I ask for something, it could be done. A way for me to know that I don't have to go far, and that there would be no reason why I couldn't train because of inconvenience.
Question #5 Last question. Now think carefully. In your life, you feel the most comfortable when:
There are several options. You hate to feel limited, or like your life is becoming monotonous in any way. Someone else is taking the reins. You like someone else to take charge. If you are a guy, around your guy friends, male bonding! If you are a girl, around your girlfriends, men just don't get it. Being well taken care of, maybe even a little pampered. You deserve it! At my house, apartment, office, or any place that is routine and very familiar.
Conclusion
Whatever answer you come up with, just make sure that you try before you buy. All gyms have some type of guest pass, or trial period. Trying the gym a few times is the best way to make sure that it is not too far, or inconvenient, that you feel comfortable, and that this really is the gym for you. Now get to work! You have lots of training to do.

Out Of Over 5000 Products, Here Are The Top 50 Sellers! |
Monday, May 01, 2006 |
Out Of Over 5000 Products, Here Are The Top 50 Sellers! Why do we show you the top 50 products that we sell? Because this can help you make a smart buying decision! The most popular products are usually the ones that work the best! People are buying them over and over and telling friends about them everyday. Sometimes a product sells well just because it is advertised a lot. If this is true, the sales skyrocket at first but then usually drop off quickly as people find out that the product does not work. They will tell their friends to avoid it and they will never use it again. We all know products like this that were popular for awhile, but then are never heard from again. You can burn a customer only once. On the other hand, some products never stop selling like crazy! Most of the time it is because people are buying it over and over again and telling everybody they know! These products are recommended by personal trainers, magazine articles, and bodybuilding experts. They are very high quality and work as advertised. Remember though that some products may not be popular but may still work very well. We know of many products that work much better than some of the ones in the list below, but they are not as well known yet. This list will help you, but don't let it completely sway you one way or the other. |

10 FACT OF BODYBUILDING (supplements) |
|
In bodybuilding, as in any other discipline, there is much speculation surrounding the various methods and processes underpinning the ways in which to succeed. These speculations often lead to confusion and frustration on the part of the aspiring bodybuilder. For example, there is a misconception, in terms of nutrition, that avoiding fat at all costs will enhance ones health and create a winning physique. Research, however, would prove that strategically including the right type of fats, in the appropriate ratios, will not only improve health, but enhance physical development. Also, there is a belief that training aerobically will deleteriously impact on muscle growth. As will be shown in this article, aerobic training can be a valuable tool when aiming to increase mass. These are but two examples. There are many others. In fact, there are certain universal truths every bodybuilder should know. The following are guaranteed to improve anyone's physique.1: Lift Progressively Heavier Weights. A fundamental requirement for anyone wanting to achieve size is to increase the amount of weight lifted from session to session. This increases the intensity of the session and ensures the muscles are subjected to sufficient stress, which will, in turn, elicits results.Beginner's Bodybuilding Program! So, you want pack on some serious mass and carve out those abs? Here's a step-by-step introduction to the iron game that will get you started on the right foot. Don't expect overnight miracles - building a body takes time, focus and consistency. The beginner bodybuilder would first aim to achieve a certain number of repetitions, with a certain weight (say 10 repetitions with 50 kilograms on the bench press). The following week, 2.5 kilograms would be added, and so on, until the lifter can only complete six-eight repetitions. The aim will then be to, once again, complete 10 repetitions with the weight they are currently achieving six-eight with. The truth is, the only way to progress in bodybuilding is to subject the muscles to greater a greater level of intensity on a continual basis - commonly know as progressive resistance training. In fact, a plateau may ensue if the same intensity is applied to the muscles day in day out. A plateau will halt progress and could diminish results. If one finds they cannot increase their training weight, overtraining might have occurred and this will need to be addressed before further gains can be made (refer to fact 10). |

3-Day Workout for MASS |
|
3-Day Workout for MASS Are you frustrated with your current workout? Have you been at the same weight and same strength for months... or even years? Are you tired of following "Ronnie Coleman's Super Freak Workout For Juiced-Up Psychos"?
This article will show you what real natural bodybuilders do to gain mass in as short as time as possible? all without lifting weights more than 3 days per week. Let's get to the workout:
Nese doni me ja perkthy ne gjuhen shqipe kete pjese, atehere shkruani komente ne 'Comments' me poshte.
The Workout
Note: Do a short warmup set before each exercise with approximately 50% of the weight you will use for the main working set. Do about 4 - 6 reps with this lighter weight, just enough to get warmed up.
Squats 1 X 8 - 10 reps Leg Extensions 1 X 8 - 10 reps Leg Curls 1 X 8 - 10 reps Dumbbell Pullovers 1 X 8 - 10 reps Barbell Overhead Shoulder Press 1 X 8 - 10 reps Seated Rows 1 X 8 - 10 reps Bench Press 1 X 8 - 10 reps Barbell Bicep Curls 1 X 8 - 10 reps Tricep Extensions 1 X 8 - 10 reps Weighted Pullups 1 X 8 - 10 reps Weighted Dips 1 X 8 - 10 reps Standing Calf Raises 1 X 8 - 12 reps Abs - 1 X 10 - 15 reps
Click Here For A Printable Log Of This Workout...
The workout should last no longer than 45 minutes! Plan your rest between sets accordingly so that you finish in this time period. Studies have shown that after 47 ? minutes of intense weight training, your cortisol levels shoot up. This means that the longer you workout AFTER 47 minutes, the LESS results you will get and the more likely you will overtrain. So get in the gym, lift hard, stay focused, and get out.
The most important thing is that you lift to absolute FAILURE! This is not an option. It is almost 100% necessary to have a workout partner. If you need to get 8 - 10 reps, choose a weight that allows you to get 8 - 10 reps? but not even ONE more. I am serious!
Once you reach your last rep, you should not be physically able to do another one, no matter what. If Britney Spears promises to date you if you get one more, it wouldn't matter. You should NOT be able to do it. Only you can judge if you are truly putting all possible effort into each set. Unlike programs where you are doing 4 or 5 sets per exercise, you only have one chance to blast your muscles. Don't waste it!
You will also notice that all the exercises are compound movements. We are NOT doing any isolation exercises. Let Richard Simmons do them. We want to get huge and strong and the only way to do it is by using these exercises.
Perform each set with good form. Cheating will only hurt your gains. Do each rep slowly and do not use momentum. Each rep should use a full range of motion and take approximately 2 seconds on the way down and 2 seconds on the way up. Do not "jerk" the weight up. Slowly move it up and down. Use lighter weight if you must. This is VERY important to your gains so don't ignore this!
Do not stop moving during any part of your set. Some people will go all the way down on squats, then come back up and lock their knees, rest for a second or two, then go back down. Do NOT do this or you will be making Baby Jesus cry. You should stay in constant motion without locking out on any exercise. Do not stop at the bottom of your bicep curls or any other exercise. Again: Keep moving for the whole set and do not lock out your arms or legs. Keep moving like it is one long SLOW rep instead of 10.
Do not stop at the bottom or top of your movements. Wuss!
Schedule
That's it. A full body workout that you will complete 2 1/2 or 3 days per week on one of the following schedules:
3 Days A Week
1 on, 1 off, 1 on, 1off, 1 on, 2 off. Usually people will do this by working out Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with the other days completely off from weight training.
2 1/2 Days A Week
Experienced lifters may benefit even MORE from taking more rest days. Have you ever noticed that after a two day rest period, your next workout is awesome? You feel good, your strength is up, and you have a great workout. Then, near the end of the week you feel tired and drained? Lifting on the following schedule allows you to get full recovery and have a record-breaking workout each time: 1 on, 2 off, repeat over and over again. |

MUSIC GENRE
A music genre is a category (or genre) of pieces of music that share a certain style or "basic musical language".
Music can also be categorised by non-musical criteria such as geographical origin.
POPULAR MUSIC GENRE
Blues - The Blues is a vocal and instrumental music form which emerged in the African-American community of
the United States. Blues evolved from West African spirituals, work songs, field hollers, shouts and chants and has
its earliest stylistic roots in West Africa. This musical form has been a major influence on later American and Western
popular music, finding expression in ragtime, jazz, big bands, rhythm and blues, rock and roll and country music, as well
as conventional pop songs and even modern classical music. Due to its powerful influence that spawned other major musical
genres originating from America, blues can be regarded as the root of pop as well as American music.
Hip Hop/Rap - Hip hop music (also referred to as rap or rap music) is a style of popular music. It is made up of two
main components: rapping (MCing) and DJing (audio mixing and scratching). Along with breakdancing and graffiti (tagging)
these are the four elements of hip hop, a cultural movement that was initiated by inner-city youth (mostly minorities such
as African Americans and Latinos) in New York City in the early 1970s. Typically, hip hop music consists of one or more rappers
who tell semi-autobiographic tales, often relating to a fictionalized counterpart, in an intensely rhythmic lyrical form making
abundant use of techniques like assonance, alliteration, and rhyme. The rapper is accompanied by an instrumental track, usually
referred to as a "beat", performed by a DJ, created by a producer, or one or more instrumentalists. This beat is often created
using a sample of the percussion break of another song, usually a funk, rock, or soul recording. In addition to the beat other
sounds are often sampled, synthesized, or performed. Sometimes a track can be instrumental, as a showcase of the skills of the
DJ or producer.
Rhythm and Blues - Rhythm and blues is a name for black popular music tradition. When speaking strictly of "rhythm 'n' blues",
the term may refer to black pop-music from 1940s to 1960s that was not jazz nor blues but something more lightweight. The term "R&B"
often refers to any contemporary black pop music. Early-1950s R&B music became popular with both black and white audiences, and
popular records were often covered by white artists, leading to the development of rock and roll.A notable subgenre of
rhythm 'n' blues was doo-wop, which put emphasis on polyphonic singing. In the early 1960s rhythm 'n' blues took influences from
gospel and rock and roll and thus soul music was born. In the late 1960s, funk music started to evolve out of soul; by the 1970s
funk had become its own subgenre that stressed complex, "funky" rhythm patterns and monotonistic compositions based on a riff or two.
In the early to mid 1970s, hip hop music (also known as "rap") grew out of funk and reggae. Funk and soul music evolved into
contemporary R&B (no longer an acronym) in the 1980s, which cross-pollinated with hip-hop for the rest of the 20th century and
into the 21st century.

POP Music - Pop music is a music genre which began in the 1950s, and is music that is generally popular to a wide range of people, hence "popular music". With the introduction of vinyl records in the 1930s, and later CDs (Compact Discs) in the 80s, recorded music became more widely available, as opposed to live music. Pop songs often make use of the 3-minute song to create hit records in the Pop Singles Charts (Billboard Hot 100). It uses melodies that are usually easily listenable, and therefore appeal to many. Pop music is characterised by a heavy rhythmic element, and often with the use of electronic amplification, while the melody line may also be dominant. It also refers to popular songs that people generally enjoy singing. It is commercially and radio friendly, readily accessible, memorable and easily marketable, often with a catchy chorus. It draws from a wide range of musical influences from pop/rock, R&B, country, soul, rock, jazz, folk and more.
Rock - Rock, in its broadest sense, can refer to almost all popular music recorded since the early 1950s. Its earliest form, rock and roll, arose from multiple genres in the late 1940s, most importantly jump blues. Although invented by Chuck Berry, it was first popularized by performers like Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, and Elvis Presley, who fused the sound with country music, resulting in rockabilly. In addition, gospel music and a related genre, R&B (rhythm and blues), emerged later in the decade. R&B soon became one of the most popular genres, with girl groups, garage rock and surf rock most popular in the US, while harder, more blues-oriented musicians became popular in the UK, which soon developed into British blues, merseybeat, mod and skiffle. Starting the mid-1960s, a group of British bands that played variations on American R&B-influenced blues became popular on both sides of the Atlantic - the British Invasion, a catchall term for multiple genres. These groups, including the Beatles, fused the earlier sounds with Appalachian folk music, forming folk rock, as well as a variety of less-popular genres, including the singer-songwriter tradition. Early heavy metal and punk rock bands formed in this period, though these genres did not emerge as such for several years.
Jazz - Jazz is a musical form that grew out of a cross-fertilization of folk blues, ragtime, and European music, particularly band music. It has been called the first native art form to develop in the United States of America. The music has gone through a series of developments since its inception. In roughly chronological order they are Dixieland, swing/big band, bebop, hard bop, cool jazz, free jazz, jazz fusion and smooth jazz. Jazz is primarily an instrumental form of music. The instrument most closely associated with jazz may be the saxophone, followed closely by the trumpet. The trombone, piano, double bass, guitar and drums are also primary jazz instruments. The clarinet and banjo were often used, especially in the earlier styles of jazz. Although there have been many renowned jazz vocalists, and many of the most well-known jazz tunes have lyrics, the majority of well-known and influential jazz musicians and composers have been instrumentalists. During the time of its widest popularity, roughly 1920 to 1950, jazz and popular music had a very intimate connection. Popular songs drew upon jazz influences, and many jazz hits were reworkings of popular songs, or lyrics were written for jazz tunes in an attempt to create popular hits. The single most distinguishing characteristic of jazz is improvisation. Jazz also tends to utilize complex chord structures and an advanced sense of harmony. These characteristics in combination with the use of improvisation require a high degree of technical skill and musical knowledge from the performers. The art form today is a widely varied one, using influences from all of the past styles, although the root of modern jazz is primarily bebop. Modern jazz can also incorporate elements of rock and roll, electronica, and hip-hop. Jazz was a direct influence on Rhythm and blues, and therefore a secondary influence on most later genres of popular music. Modern American art music composers have often used elements of jazz in their compositions.
